Sam began his career in the Canadian Navy, during which he was assigned to the ship’s combat team as a Weapons Control Operator. His responsibilities included water electronic warfare, damage control firefighting and being part of the ship-boarding party. After leaving the Navy, Sam shifted his focus to security, where his love of dogs led him to a fulfilling role as a handler of detection and protection dogs throughout the Province of British Columbia. Sam joined the Ministry of Attorney General Risk and Security Unit as a Senior Technical Security Specialist in 2016.
