Julie is the founder and CEO of Human-i Intelligence Services, an exclusive digital security, investigations, and threat management company based in Vancouver, Canada. Julie is a sought-after public speaker, the best-selling author of “How To Become A World-Class Investigator”, and a regular cast member on the long-running, award-winning factual drama UK TV show, Hunted.

A former British police detective and undercover operator, having served 10 years with the West Yorkshire police, Julie now provides expert advice and guidance to law enforcement, government, military, high net worth individuals, family offices and corporations.

A global educator for over a decade, Julie has developed and delivered training programs on the topics of internet investigations, intelligence analysis, data security, digital currency, human trafficking, coercive control and organized crime in over 20 countries. More recently, Julie has trained the newly formed Risk and Threat Unit in “Strengthening Criminal Investigations and Evidence Sharing in Central America” in El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras, sponsored by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Development, Canada.

Along with her team of leading experts, Julie makes use of all-source intelligence with a focus on online open-source intelligence, and ethical and proportionate practices for covert and undercover investigations to solve complex problems for corporations, governments, law enforcement and non-profits worldwide. In her role as a specialist in gap analysis and needs assessment, Julie recently completed a gender-responsive diagnostic review entitled “Strengthening Institutional Capacity to Combat Human Trafficking with a Focus on Corruption, Money Laundering and Transnational Organized Crime” in Panama, Costa Rica and Colombia, in partnership with Justice Education Canada on behalf of Foreign Affairs, Canada.

Julie is a charity ambassador for Embrace Child Victims of Crime and an active advocate for Unseen UK, a non-profit organization focused on rescuing and supporting victims of human trafficking and modern slavery. She is an engaged member of the Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance as well as the High-Tech Crime Investigation Association.
